The principles of transcutaneous monitoring

Transcutaneous monitoring is a useful trending tool to monitor oxygenation (tcpO2) and ventilation (tcpCO2) status non-invasively.

Transcutaneous monitoring is the method to use in patients who have a need for continuous and non-invasive monitoring of oxygenation and ventilation. Through a sensor applied to the body, blood gases diffusing through the skin can be detected and measured.

Transcutaneous monitoring is a useful trending tool to monitor oxygenation (tcpO2) and ventilation (tcpCO2) status non-invasively. It provides vital real-time information, allowing you to take immediate action when needed to improve patient safety and comfort.

Radiometer TCM monitors report changes in oxygen uptake, carbon dioxide pressure, transport and release as reflected in tcpO2 and tcpCO2 values.

All of Radiometer's TCM monitors include on-board tutorials and user-guided messages to simplify operation. They are small and easily portable, with a built-in battery that allows for monitoring of patients even during transport.

An integrated data memory allows for downloading of patient measurements to a PC or export to a USB stick for detailed analysis on a PC.
